Atheism is a religion

First of all, I find it interesting that you would want to call atheism a religion at all. It is almost as if you think you can do some damage by saying it is “just as bad” as your worldview.


It should come as no surprise to anyone who understands what atheism is (not saying "there is a God") that it is not a religion. It has no rituals, traditions, creeds, or positions at all. It is nothing more and nothing less than refusing to say "there is a God". Some atheists may have other stances that you might consider "religious" but they are not atheism.
