Evolution says that life arose by the chance combination of chemicals. This is so unlikely as to be ridiculous.

You do not understand evolution. Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection is not intended to answer the question of how life first arose.
Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection deals with the origin of species, not the origin of life. Evolution only explains the mechanism that produces the diversity of life on earth.

Science does not yet know how life first arose, though we are coming closer to understanding it every day.
